As a family, we have been trying to focus on a "value" every month. We talk about that value the whole month, role play, talk of people who show this value in their actions, etc...
October's value is Courage! So we talked about what courage is and talked about what we can do to show courage AND our scripture story for the week to help remind us of Courage is Daniel and the Lion's Den. Even though a law was passed to prohibit people from praying, Daniel showed courage by praying anyway because he knew it was right. Then, of course, he showed courage in the lion's den too. We acted it out and the boys had lots of fun. Courage month, here we come!!

I love it! I think we will steal that idea sometime. Our value this month is service. We are putting together a gift box full of "warm fuzzies" (from Pres. Monson's talk) to give to Jesus at Christmas time.
