House Project #1...there are how many holes in the walls?

Well, we decided to have this conference weekend be a house project weekend.  We have lots of areas of the house to fill nail holes/touch up/paint.  We decided to start with the downstairs living area so we could unpack the desk/books etc...

BEFORE:
These pictures show the walls before we painted.  All of the white spots are places Allen filled nail holes or dinks in the walls.  In a couple of places the paint was literally peeling off the walls.  There is also an area on the left wall that had lots of bookcases on it when the last owners lived here and they painted around the bookcases...that's why there are 2 colors on that wall.  That was a surprise when we moved in! Also, the base board is missing along part of the one wall...another surprise!  All houses have them!

AFTER:
I think it all turned out really well.  Now seeing how good the walls look when we touch up, I am antsy to get to the rest of the house.  All in good time, considering most of the walls need to be done!

Wow--I didn't imagine there would be that many holes. Way to get moving and get it done. Did they have leftover paint for you to use or did you have to match the color? Looks great! Our noses and coughs are clearing up. Looks like we can play next week. Yeah!

I wish our projects were done that quick, Bryan and I are starting to think we will never get the bedroom and bathroom/laundry done. I still can't believe you don't live around the block.
