2012 Baseball Kiddos

MILES
9 YEARS OLD
Miles' favorite colors are green and pink.
He loves crepes and tacos...oh yeah and CANDY.
favorite word: Dude
sports: baseball and basketball
He is an expert at stalling at bedtime.  It's when he is really chatty so we do let him get away with it so he will talk to us :)  He loves to hear stories of when mom and dad were little.
He is still our sports radio.  He plays fall and spring baseball and plays in all different positions, from catcher to outfield to 3rd or 1st base.  Mom had a fun time watching the Olympics with him this year.  He loved it, especially since other brothers were in bed.

QUINCY
6 YEARS OLD
Quincy's favorite color: rainbow, all colors
He loves Kiki's chicken (named for him)
He is our "textile" child.  He hates tags on shirts and loves to feel soft things.
He LOVES baseball and his favorite team is the Phillies.  He is getting to be quite the sports radio and I only understand about 1/2 of his sports talk.  He has to watch top plays before school.
Quincy is passionate and persistent...about everything.
He is creative and loves to make things out of cardboard, etc...
He loves to show me his school work right when he gets home.
What a smile he has!

PORTER
4 YEARS OLD
Favorite color: red
Food: He is a good eater.  complains less than others!
Porter loves preschool.
Porter loves to play baseball with his brothers...see a trend here!?
Porter still loves his "stubby" or blanket.
Bobos are his favorite...that's a monkey.
We call him Bobo too.
He loves superheroes...especially Avengers and Batman.
His pitch is incredible...he is loving his music lessons.

ELLA
5 MONTHS OLD
Ella is so much fun.  Loved by everyone.  She loves to eat, suck on anything.
She loves her brothers and thinks they are a crack up.
She loves bath time and she still loves to be swaddled.
She hates cameras and hurt/wrestling brothers.
She loves to be in the thick of the action.  She likes to be big!
Nicknames: E, punkin, babes

I love being a mom and being "in the trenches" of motherhood.  Sometimes I feel overwelmed, but I am so thankful to be home with my buddies.  They are growing up so fast.  They are all so different and it's fun to see their personalities develop.  I see their strengths and weaknesses and try to help them see those.  Being a mom is the hardest job in the world, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I love you guys!

Ella is 5 months

I can't believe Ella is 5 months old.  She is adored by the whole family.  The boys love to make her smile and giggle...no one can get her rollin like her brothers.  Ella loves attention and she is very ticklish!  She loves to suck on a washcloth in the tubby.   She is a mover and a shaker.  She is rolling from her back to her tummy and can worm her way off her play mat!  She is also becoming quite good at whipping backwards when you are holding her.  Watch out!  She is pretty bald...might be because I buzzed her head.  She does not like cameras or when the boys are fussing or wrestling.  She gets really concerned.  We love our sweet baby girl. We can't imagine our family without her.  Love you punkin!
Nicknames: Ella Bella, punkin, babes, baby E, EJ

She can sit up by herself...

well, for a couple of seconds...

 Yeah, he's still got "it"!!

Baseball Individual Shots....finally!

Just kidding...
they are not done yet...since it's been 2 years since we had family/individual shots...aka our superman shots.  this year we are ALL BASEBALL for the kids' shots.  And the family shot will just have to be a surprise!!
Hopefully I can post the results soon...
until then...

couldn't help but put this shot up! Reminded me a lot of his 18 month picture.

For those of you who don't remember the shot when Porter was 18 months...here it is:

Some things never change!
Maybe since I have blogged that these will get done...it will happen faster!
Here's to hoping!!

"Red Hat" girl being difficult

I have done red hat shots of our 4 kiddos...and by FAR, Ella has been the most difficult.  She absolutely hates cameras.  She looks at it and there is no hiding it or tricking her either.
I have done multiple attempts to get a great shot...uggg
here are my latest attempts...
(this is for you grandma Hansen)

talking to me...
Mom, why am I wearing this hot outfit in the summer...and is this a boy outfit? :)

 almost a smile...

grimace...

are we done yet...?

Good grief....
used to love doing the red hat series!!

Ninja War?

The problem with having NINJAS for brothers...

Clark Kent: Superhero Day

One of the things I love about Quincy is how PASSIONATE he is (also can be one of the things that drives me crazy)
When I told him my idea for Superhero day at school (because they did not allow actual costumes/masks/etc...)
HE WAS SO EXCITED!  He layed out all of the parts the night before and was up at 7:00am with it on and ready to go the next morning!!
I think he looks SUPER!!!

Thanks for your passion, Q!  Hopefully some of that passion can drive you to GREATNESS and will help you choose the right....and to be SUPER!!!

Labor Day Week

Wow!  It's been one eventful week....(or last 2 maybe!)

Ella turned 4 months old
How adorable is she....just want to squeeze those cheeks!

We had Grandpa and Grandma Hansen here for Labor Day weekend...
can you tell how much the kids love their grandparents?

Miles had lots of games...noticed from that last picture of Grandpa and Miles...guess I was too busy watching and didn't take any baseball pictures.  I sure do love to watch that boy play!

IT'S HARVEST TIME...YIPEE!

So stinkin excited about the peach tree...new thing I am trying this year...peach BBQ sauce.

And finally...
WE ARE IN BIG TROUBLE...
You are kidding right?  She is 4 months old for crying out loud!
That shouldn't be happening yet right?  Why is she already moving?
AHHHHH...I need to baby proof...soon!

HAPPY FALL!
