Things the boys are loving right now...

Ahhh to be a kid again.  Here are some things that the boys are really "into" right now...

PORTER

Yogurt....yummy!
The dryer air vent when the dryer is on and blowing out warm air!!

QUINCY

This is Quincy's favorite past time right now.  If you can guess what he is drawing, I'll owe you a special treat....I'll post the answer soon!

MILES

Miles is loving his Tball season....look at that smile!!

smashing up against the trampoline enclosure....just happened to click the camera at just the right moment!
Look at that Lincoln Log cabin....wow!

I am sure we will move on....probably tomorrow we'll be off on new adventures....that's what makes it so exciting.  (And almost irritating when the stage lasts for weeks and weeks....that usually involves Quincy...see pics above he has been drawing for a week)

Miles is moving on to 1st grade

I can't believe it!  My first baby is going to be in ALL day school next year.  I didn't really freak out with him doing Kindergarten, but I am really freaking out for 1st grade.  He is going to be gone all day, even for lunch.  sniff sniff.  Now that mom is done with that....

MILES IS SO EXCITED!!!
Miles absolutely loved Kindergarten.  When we moved in March to our new house, I was planning on driving him to his class 7 miles from our new house so he could stay with the same school and teacher.  He was so excited to see his new school that we just went with it and signed him up.  He loved his 2nd kindergarten class too.  I am so proud of him.  He is our little social butterfly and has made lots of new friends and can't wait to be in 1st grade.  He learned how to read this year and is starting to gain a concept of math and money.  Miles, you are so smart and we are so proud of you and all of your accomplishments this year!!  You are our buddy boy and even though you don't think so, you will always be my baby!!
This is his teacher, Mrs. Lyman.  She is absolutely wonderful!  She made the transition so smooth and effortless!  Thank you so much Mrs.Lyman!!
Program shots are so hard.  I never get great shots from where I am sitting.  But this was super cute.  Miles caught Allen's eye and signed him an I Love you right before they started.
P.S. The gloves were part of the costume.
On to 1st grade......and it's good that the only person freaking out is mom!!

What is it with boys and water?

I've always said that if you put a cup full of water in the middle of a football field and let our boys run wild in the field, they would find that cup of water in about 5 seconds!  And have a ball!

The sprinklers need some work.  So this was the first time Porter has experienced them and he was thrilled with playing in them.  Until I took his clothes off and he ran right into the sprinklers and was scared to come out but didn't move because the water was sooo cold!

I don't let the boys play in our jetted tub very often, so it is always exciting for them to get in. I got some really cute shots of them in the bubbles tonight.  Mom added too many bubbles and the boys were thrilled!

My little fishies!

It's May! Horray!

The tramp is up!

The garden planted!  We have peas (only a few came up), lettuce, green beans, yellow beans, pickling cucumbers, carrots, melons, tomatoes, and baby pumpkins.  FUN!

It's so fun to see the yard coming alive for the first time.  We bought the house and didn't even know all that was in the yard, scary huh?
Here are some bulbs by the front porch.
In this shot you can see our raspberries and the some of the fruits trees along the side fence.  We have 2 apple, a pear, and a peach.  I am super excited!!
Porter absolutely loves to be outside.  He throws rocks, eats whatever, and loves to play with the dirt and bark chips.  If I turn my head for a few seconds, he is in the street!  I have to keep a close eye on him!
Here he is doing another favorite past time.  Pulling apart all of my flowers!  GRRRRR!
But with a face like that, how can I stay mad???

100% babyproofed?...you're kidding right?

I feel like my house is pretty babyproofed....I have the outlet covers and all of my cleaning supplies are high up in cupboards....but there's nothing like a 14 month old to show you how unprepared you really are!  HE IS INTO EVERYTHING!!  He loves to be outside and runs in the street until I catch him, he eats dirt and likes to roll around in it, digs in the toilets if doors are left open, and here are a couple of pictures to show you what else he is into...

Here are our solar lights.....they line our front yard, which means there are a lot of them to keep track of.....GRRRR!
We bought the boys Spiderman bouncy balls when we were in Greeley, and I thought they would be big enough that Porter wouldn't be able to get one in his mouth, right?  They love them...and YES, Porter can get it in his mouth! But I don't think there is any way for him to choke on it...it takes up his whole mouth!!
He's laughing because I am trying to get it out of his mouth...stinker!
The boys sure do keep me on my toes!!!
